A new vehicle received by the field-guards
The field guards/rangers were given a new vehicle on May 03, 2019, so that they can now fulfil their duties with the help of four off-road vehicles. The services rendered by the field-guards/rangers include not only the protection of farm-lands and fields, but they also help identify illegal waste depositions and they often lend a hand in charity compaigns, too.
The municipal govenment of Debrecen established the field guards/rangers’ service in 2015, which operates as a section of the public warden supervision service with a staff of eight guards. They primarily guard the farm-fields surrounding the city including the protection of livestock, farm produc, and the field crops. The service staff at present consists of eight guards/rangers and they have, so far, been using three Lada Niva off-road vehicles. From now on, they can make use of one more vehicle, a Dacia Duster. This way, with the new vehicle at hand, they are in a better position to perform their mission more efficiently and faster – said Mr. Lajos Barcsa, deputy mayor of Debrecen, at the handing-over event.
