A programme to build infants’ day-nurseries in Debrecen
The municipal council is resolved to have four infants’ day-nurseries built on the proposition of the Fidesz-KDNP faction group of the General Assembly.
As a result of the development project, the nurseris will be able to accomodate another 400 infants in order that the city can meet the growing needs. The objective of the municipal leadership – not unlike that of the government – is that there should be a growing number of babies born, and the families should be served better and better. In the framework of the Provident City Progamme, Debrecen is not only bent on upgrading the existing infants’ day-nurseries and kindergartens, but also wishes to have new ones established and built primarily in the emerging new quarters of town where the population tends to consist of younger families and the birth-rate is high – stressed Ms. Diána Széles, deputy mayor of Debrecen, at her press meeting devoted to this topic in the institution in Ősz street that is being modernized on May 24, 2019.
