Another new pedestrian crossing to be built at an intersection
A further busy intersection, the one at Viola and Ibolya streets is going to be provided with a pedestrian crossing. As a result of this development project school-children and their parents will be able to get to the school much more safely.
The Traffic Development Programme of the New Phoenix Plan gives priority to pedestrian safety. Last year saw the construction of pedestrian crossings, for example, at Határ road – Lóskúti street; Széchényi – Kükülló streets; as well as at Baross-Ceglédi streets. The programme is to be continued this year with the construction of seven zebra-crossings in order to render pedestrian trafic easier – announced Mr. Csaba Papp, councilman for the electoral ward at the press-meeting held at the Viola street Zebra crossing on June 05, 2019.
