Hotels in the region, especially in Debrecen, expected to have had a good business year
The number of hotel bookings may well have increased by at least 8 per cent in 2018. This was discussed, among other things, at the regional meeting of the Federation of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants on November 6, 2018.
Experts working in the field of hotel industry in the Eastern Part of Hungary discussed the issues of the replacement of trained labour as well as that of efficient hotel management methods at the meeting. Ms. Diána Széles, deputy mayor of Debrecen, stated that tourism in Debrecen was steadily developing. Last year also saw record figures while this year the number of bookings is going on growing by at least 8 per cent. However, the number of foreign tourists is expected to be even higher, at the same time.
