Kindergarten “Rainbow” – will soon be beyond recognition
The energetic upgrading of Kindergarten “Rainbow” in Monostorpályi Road is going on at a good pace. The institution is upgraded with an investment of more than 200 million HUF. By the end of the current EU mandate cycle more than half of the kindergartens will have been upgraded, and even a new one will have been built in the Tócóskert quarter of town. This is necessitated by the policy to meet the new demand for labour and the creation of new jobs brought about by the development investments.
Altogether the upgrading of eight kindergartens are in progress, out of which four have already been completed and another five are now being prepared to start. The Borough of Debrecen has assigned 2.8 billion HUF to be spent on the modernization of these institutions.
Mr. Szabolcs Komolay deputy mayor of Debrecen pointed out that there is a sufficient number of places at the kindergartens in Debrecen, but it is important to be prepared to accommodate further number of places as a result of development investments and the increased number of new jobs created. We are talking not only about renovation of buildings, but it has also been decided to have a new kindergarten built in the Tócóskert quarter of town. The populace in that latter quarter is growing at such a pace and has such age-composition that there is need for one more kindergarten.
The renovation of the institutions is part of the New Phoenix Plan. The contractor is supposed to accomplish the upgrading of the energetic system of the kindergarten in question by early next year.
