Large-scale surface asphalting to take place in Piroska street
One more street to see the improvement of traffic. The large surface asphalting of Piroska street got started – announced Mr. Viktor Papp, councilman of the electoral ward in that quarter of town on October 02, 2019.
An important element of the Traffic Modernisation Programme of the New Phoenix Plan is the continual maintenance of the existing road network. Large-scale asphalting programmes are to incur a cost of 500 million HUF in the current year to be covered by the municipal government of Debrecen. It was part of this programme that Mester street, country road Kádár and Napraforgó street in the Kismacs suburb received a new asphalt cover in 2019. It is now the turn of Piroska street to be upgraded. In the next stage of this project the full length of Piroska street, that is, about 480 metres long stretch of it is to be covered with asphalt, for it had been worn away.
