Large-surface asphalting programme to continue in Debrecen-Józsa
It is in Barakonyi street where the road surface is going to be upgraded in the stretch of the street extending from Silye Gábor street to Nyári Pál street, as was announced by Mr. Ákos Balázs councilman for the electoral ward in this district of town at his press meeting on August 23 2019.
Debrecen-Józsa is one of the most dynamically growing suburban quarters in the regional centre with an ever growing population the development of this suburb must also keep abreast with. Several arterial roads inside Józsa have been provided with new surface: the residents have been able to move about with greater ease and safety in Gönczy Pál, Rózsavölgyi, Elek, Felsőjózsai and Sillye Gábor streets by automobile and bicycle alike. An asphalted road was constructed in Érsek street as well as in Kertekalja street, which is getting closer to completion while a new asphalt surface has been provided and parking lots built at the sports centre in Gönczy Pál street.
On top of all these, the eroded part of Gát street will be updated and it will also make traffic more comfortable for the local residents.
The upgrading work on the road surfaces is expected to be completed by mid September the weather permitting and in this manner the local residents are likely to take advantage of the safer conditions before the wet weather of the autumn sets in.
This piece of development investment is of remarkable significance, for puddles of rain water used to get formed quite often owning to the degrading asphalt surface.
Subsequent to the upgrading project the closed drainage system can drain water away more efficiently- said Mr. Ákos Balázs.
