Road construction started in Júliatelep quarter
Road construction in Júliatelep quarter got started by laying asphalt on Gyűrű street. On the residents’ initiative solid road surfaces are being built in another seven streets in the said quarter of town, however, work in them is carried out in the framework of a European programme.
This was announced by Mr. László Papp, mayor of Debrecen, and Mr. István Becsky, councilman for the electoral ward on July 02, 2019. Gyűrű street is a dead-end one, opening from Kard street. The stretch of 337 metres with a width of 4,5 metres is to be provided with an asphalt surface while another 60 metre stretch is to get turfed cobbling with a width of 3 metres – that is, a total of 397 metres of solid pavement is to be built. A closed precipitation drainage system is also to be constructed. The total gross cost of the development project is 87,555,000 HUF, to be covered fully by the Debrecen municipal budget.
