The construction work on the manufacturing plant of the German DEUFOL in Debrecen got started
The first sod was cut at the construction of the Debrecen manufacturing plant of the German firm DEUFOL in the industrial and business zone south, next to Debrecen Airport.
Mr. Jürgen Hillen, the managing director of the company said: By means of a twenty million EURO investment they are building up Europe’s most modern logistical and packaging plant in Debrecen, which, at the same time, is going to be DEUFOL’s regional centre in South-Eastern Europe. He also added DEUFOL is a global market leader in supply-chains solutions and industrial packaging. The firm employs 2300 people at 90 sites in 12 countries, and the one in Debrecen is going to be their 91st. It is part of their service to provide logistical services, export-import packaging as well as innovative IT solutions along the supply chain. Mr. László Papp, mayor of Debrecen, added that the total investment volume of seven billion HUF includes a Hungarian Government contribution of 1.4 billion HUF supplemented by Debrecen Municipal Government’s 60 million non-refundable contribution. By means of this development investment the firm DEUFOL creates 120 new jobs in Debrecen.
