The upgrading of Laktanya street to start
As part of the Traffic Modernization Programme of the New Phoenix Plan, the modernization of Laktanya street is about to start. Close to an 800 metres stretch of the street will not only be provided with a new road surface, but the side-walk pavement and the curbs will also be renovated – as was announced by Mr. Sándor Kiss, councilman for the ward on October 18, 2018.
Priority attention is paid to the modernization of the busiest sectors of roads in the framework of the Traffic Modernization Programme of the New Phoenix Plan. As part of the programme, this year has been the renovation of the first sector of country-road Kádár, as well as that of Kardos, Szathmáry István, Teleki, Vígkedvű, and Lórántffy streets. In the second half of October, 2018, it is now the turn for Laktanya street to be completely renovated. The total cost of the project is 137,160,000 HUF with 36,719,119 HUF Hungarian domestic resource in it. The remaining 100,440,881 HUF comes from the local government’s own budget.
